Authentic Jamaican Dining Experience

My wife and I have been living in Newcastle for about 3 years and am disappointed that it took us this long to try Da Taste! Portion sizes were bigger than expected and the jerk and bbq chicken was delicious! We also picked up mild beef patties and those too were very good. Will definitely be going back to try more menu items!

5 star plus! This was the first time I have eaten here and the food was amazing. I have eaten Caribbean food many times in Toronto and was worried the food would not be great. It was absolutely delicious! We had curried chicken roti, jerk chicken roti and mac and cheese for the kids. While there I saw at least 5 pick up orders which says something since it is a Tuesday night. We will eat here time and time again, and I cannot recommend it enough.

The staff are amazing, so friendly and professional. By far the best Caribbean food I have ever had. If I could give this place 10 stars I would. Its pretty crazy the my husband doesn't even eat the legs but he ate it with no complaints and even walked in to ask to speak to the chef to thank him for bringing the best food to Newcastle. 5 stars for sure!!!!

My boyfriend and I have been to Da Taste numerous amounts of times and I can say it's some of the best food we've ever eaten. My father is from the Caribbean and this reminds me of homemade cooking. The jerk chicken is delicious, oxtail is amazing and the roti is to die for. Great portions, great service, great atmosphere and we are never disappointed. We are excited to eat there again!

This place has great awesome food, and the people that run this restaurant are great, and very friendly, as well, and the prices are very reasonable, as well, and the atmosphere is very nice inside the restaurant, as well, I would recommend this lovely little friendly restaurant to anyone, you won't be the least disappointed at all when you try this restaurant, once again very nice little friendly restaurant in Newcastle, Ontario
